Joshua's last T-ball Game

We are so sad that the t-ball season is over. Joshua had a wonderful time his 1st year playing t-Ball. We were greatly blessed by a wonderful team of dedicated coaches. I truly looked forward to our Saturdays being immersed by t-Ball. Joshua's team party was on Saturday...he was thrilled to get his trophy. Only a short break and then there is soccer. I'm sure it will be here before we know it.

Marissa's Career Speech

Marissa's third and final speech master speech is approaching and she has to speak on a career. We have a friend that is a veterinarian and we asked if Marissa could interview her and take a tour of the vet clinic. Marissa had a wonderful time and learned so much. She got to see the operating room, the exam room, the boarding area, their pharmacy, and she even go to use the Dr's stethoscope to listen to a Chihuahua's heartbeat. Marissa also got to watch as the Vet checked the doggy's teeth. It was a wonderful experience for a 10 year old girl to have. She is now so excited and motivated to give her speech on being a Veterinarian. Thank you Dr. Lisa for helping her with her project. We can tell you truly have a passion for your job! We are greatly blessed by your friendship.

Mother's Day

The Bergeron's truly had a nice Mother's Day weekend. It started with a lovely Mother Daughter lunch at church on Saturday to a wonderful afternoon with my Mom and Frank on Sunday. The kids sang at church on Sunday morning. Then it was off to Fashion Valley for some window shopping and brunch at The Cheesecake Factory. I got a nice thermal shirt from Eddie Bauer and we even purchased a slice of my favorite Vanilla Bean Cheesecake to go. We took a nice walk on Sunday evening and Kevin bathed tucked the kids in bed. He made their lunches for Monday and I got a took curl up in bed and catch up on some reading. I'm so blessed to be a mommy. Something I have wanted to be since I was a little girl. I'm thankful to be called..MOMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE, Mama, and Mom.

Mission Accomplished!

There is always something going on in our house. Somewhere to go, people to meet, and even sick kids to tend to every now and then. And then a school project gets thrown into the loop. How dare school interfere with family life?? LOL! Well, Marissa was very excited to make a model of a mission. I wasn’t very excited because all I could think of was the time involved and the costs associated with it. Michael’s is a dangerous place for me to shop when there was NO particular objective involved, but now that we have to build a mission all I could think of was that it was going to a GOLD MINE! Then I started to think. We were in the midst of April (Earth Month) and I asked Marissa about going GREEN with the project. She agreed and we chose a Mission that we could build out of things we had around home. After searching Mission Books, we came up with the 21st (and last) CA Mission built…The San Francisco de Solano. We used shoe boxes, COSTCO milk boxes, the bottom of a pineapple box, painted Starbucks stir sticks and the back side of wrapping paper to make it appear as we painted the walls white. We ended up spending about $8.00 in materials. We purchased bells, Spanish moss, and terra cotta colored paper (that we crimped with a paper crimper) for the roof. It’s been an ongoing project since spring break, but we finally completed it this AM. Marissa is very please and cannot wait to show her hard work off. All I can say is, “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!”
