So Incredibly Proud!

WOW, on March 19th both of my kids got awards of recognition at school. Joshua got his math award for passing so many levels and Marissa got awarded for Academic Excellence which means she had straight A's! They are both doing so very well and just thriving! Marissa loves 5th grade and just loves learning and challenging herself. The good thing is...Joshua is competeitive, so he wants to keep up with the BIG sister! So, he strives to do OUT DO her! These kids are not perfect by any means, & when they do things like this they make us so Incredibly Proud! The good news is they are truly doing it for themselves...not to please their parents! But goodness.....we are pleased beyond belief! Good job, kiddos! keep up the great work & continue to thank God in all of your accomplishments...for it is only through Him that you can shine.

PLAY BALL!!!

It’s so hard to believe that baseball season is here and that Joshua will be 7 in 13 days! Time has flown by and continues to do so. This year Joshua is on the ASTROS. He now hits pitches from a pitching machine where the balls speed by at 40 MPH. Joshua truly loves the game & we are forever grateful for the coaching he receives from Coach Sean. He does an amazing job with these boys and in the short amount of time we have practiced before our first game, I can already see the growth.
The boys finally got to play their first game yesterday. We have had a lot of rain recently that has closed our fields and made it next to impossible to get our field practices in as well as have our saturday games. We are praising God for the well needed rain as well as giving praises we finally got to play our 1st game on Saturday. We won 13-4! Joshua was 1st up to bat, and smacked the 3rd ball pitched to him; the ball went between 1st and 2nd base. Joshua was so pleased to have hit that single. Joshua made a lot of contact with the ball that game and I could see his confidence soar. He had a great attitude and gave it 100%!! I know he’s going to enjoy this season & I am going to have many more proud mommy moments to BLOG about.
On a sad note…we are all saddened by the recent findings of two precious girls here in San Diego. Not the news any one wanted to hear. The King & DuBois families, their friends, and our communities are in our prayers. These tragedies also remind us as to how precious life is & to tell our loved ones daily that we love them.
