Happy Birthday, Marissa!

WOW, it's so hard to believe that our baby girl is now 11 years old. It was 11 years old today that I was holding my precious little 7 pound 15 oz bundle in the Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, CA. Our Marissa has brought so much love and joy into our lives, what a blessing she is in every way. I'm sad to see our little girl grow up, but at the same time am pleased at the beautiful young lady that she is becoming. She certainly has a loving, giving, caring & serving heart. She loves Our Lord and serves Him in all that she does. What more could a mom want?? Well, maybe for the time to slow down just a tad. I want to enjoy the last of these "kid" years before adolescence truly kicks in. Marissa is sweet and innocent and I only wish she could stay that way.
Today Marissa had a wonderful birthday party. She had 4 girls friends over for pizza making, cupcake decorating, movies, and crafts. I have to say that each an everyone of these girls is such a joy to be around. They are all so polite and just fun to be with. They each have their special qualities and I truly enjoyed sharing Marissa's 11th Birthday with them.
Courtney also made a surprise appearance! At 11:30 the door was knocked on and to Marissa's surprise it was COURTNEY! Marissa was so thrilled that she got to spend the day with us too. Thanks Courtney for making her day so special!
