Happy Early Halloween!

The kids had a fun sneak peak at halloween on saturday. kevim's paretns have their trailer parked in the mountains in san Bernadino this month and the campgrounds always does a trick or treat the weekend before halloween. Sophia had such a good time getting candy and she truly had fun helping herself.

Vote for Rebecca Jones-San Marcos City Council

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Mrs. Rebecca Jones! She is the perfect person for a seat on the City Council. The BERGERON BUNCH really wants to have her re-elected. We have 2 out of the 5 of us voting for her only because 3 of us are under age...but the kids are are telling their friends to have their mommy's and daddy's vote for her too.
We met Rebecca about a year ago on our frequent walks down to Starbucks. She immediately noticed that I had a daughter that was close in age to hers. We got to know her even before we knew she represented our city as a council member. She has always been personable and has a passion for her job. She talks to my kids and visits with all of us even though she must have a busy schedule. She is never to busy for the citizens and wants to hear their concerns!
Recently I casually mentioned to her that I was worried that our Home Owners Association hadn't cleared our brush from our hills since we have lived here. I told her I was really nervous about the upcoming fire season. Without even asking her, she told me that she would take my e-mail and contact the City to see who was responsible for getting the job done. We have been at this since the Spring and no one was taking responsibility. Well, sure enough, Rebecca got us an answer and the Fire Marshall came out and the job was completed this week. We greatly appreciate Rebecca's involvement in helping keep our neighborhood up to code.

San Diego Zoo's Walk on the Wild Side 5K

Today I walked my 1st official 5K walk. It was fun to participate! Even though I am known for my walks around town and people claim they see me walking all over the place, it was nice to have a change of scenery, help the Zooilogical Foundation and walk (for once) without pushing the stroller.
It was a beautiful, cool, crisp morning to walk around the World's Famous San Diego Zoo! Thank you to my friends,Devon and Michelle for inviting me to WALK ON THE WILD SIDE with you. I had a blast walking with the two of you and 3,500 other walkers. Cannot wait to walk it again next year!

Those of you who know me know how much I love the holidays. From Halloween through Easter I am in Holiday Heaven. We went to Bate's Nut Farm (a Pumpkin Patch in Valley Center) today right after Church. This is the first year we have gone when it wasn't super hot. We had some rain last night and the ground was moist and the air was crisp. This kids had a fun time picking their pumpkins and I had a fun time taking pictures of them. They were also having their craft fair...it was fun to check out all the home crafted goods. The kids had fun looking at the animals and eating Kettle Corn. It made for a very fun morning!

Muffin Success!!!

I cannot tell you how happy I am that I actually made Marissa something that looks and tastes delicious! You see I cook and bake for her all the time, but it may not always look great even though it takes fine. It's very tricky to bake lo protein and after all the work it is often disappointing to see the end product. Like I said, it may taste great, but it never looks the same as its higher protein counterpart. Well, I have been wanting to try this new Blueberry Muffin Recipe for 2 years now....well, I guess it's not a new recipe then, huh? Any how, I finally got to it last night and it was a huge success. Not only do they look better than their higher protein versions, but they taste AMAZING! The better news is that the boxed version of the Blueberry Muffins have over 30 PHE per serving....these are 3 times as big and only have 8 PHE per muffin. That only means Marissa can eat a lot more! Bon appetite, Marissa!
