Spring Break

Spring Break was last week and I really did enjoy the time I had with the kids. Here is a synopsis of what we were up to: We went to an egg hunt at church Easter Saturday, spent Easter AM at church (the kids sang in the choir), Easter afternoon with my Mom, Frank and Kevin's parents, went to see the Butterflies at the Wild Animal park on Tuesday. Kevin took last Thursday and Friday off and we went to Palmdale. On our way to Palmdale we stopped in Glendora to get one of my FAVORITE donuts @ The Donut Man and met a friend for lunch.
After leaving Glendora we went to the San Gabriel Mission to get a dent in Marissa's 4th grade Mission project. We chose that Mission because that was the one I visited when I was in 4th grade and i vaguely remembered it.
We arrived in Palmdale on Thursday late afternoon. We got to visit with Marissa's Godparents and Jerry & Dinee. The kids had fun running around their property, driving a tractor, and playing with the doggy. Kevin and I enjoyed an array of wonderfully cooked food that dinee so generously prepared for us. They also introduced me to this unbelievable coffee maker called the Keurig. A new form off coffee LOVE!! We just had to get one upon our arrival home. So, if you want the perfect cup of coffee, come our way.
We visited the school I used to teach at and Joshua got to play on the Kindergarten Playground with the kids during their recess. I saw many people I haven't seen in about 8 years. It was really a fun and relaxing visit. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful friends. I say fun and relaxing....but check this out. Our Lil' Sophia is still NOT a good traveler...we heard this most of the time or she was just screaming:

Thank goodness this is only the short version of her screaming!
