Last week Marissa had her quarterly PKU appointment in Mission Valley. It is a few hour ordeal, so I had to check her out of school early that day. After the appointment, we decided to go to The San Diego Zoo. We were only 10 minutes away and we just had to take advantage of the beautiful weather and beat the summer crowds. The girls conventiently wore there matching giraffe shorts. We could not wait to go see the giraffes, but they had other plans. That exhibit was closed due to a remodel of that section of the zoo. However, we did get to ride the Sky Buckets, go the the Children's Petting Zoo, see the new Baby Polar Bear, and we even got to see one of the Giant Pandas close up.
